Internal delivery routes
In 2019, we were already able to transport >90% of our transport volume by train from Shenzhen to our warehouse in Germany. Due to the unpredictable demand of some products, we unfortunately still had to transport a part by plane and see potential for improvement for our CO2 balance here. The transport by train emits about 40 times less CO2 than by air.
Currently we are working on a balance sheet of our complete CO2 emissions and possibilities to compensate them. We would like to support organizations like 'The Ocean Cleanup' who are developing innovative solutions like a solar-powered self-cleaning boat to rid our oceans and rivers of plastic waste.
Return routes
We have made delivery to your home as efficient as possible by using consolidated warehouses from our transportation service providers. In addition, shipping through DHL GoGreen is climate neutral, which means that the CO2 emissions from shipping are offset by donations to a climate organization.
You have probably already asked yourself why returns have to be registered with us first and why you have to pay the return costs. At first glance, this sounds like a complicated and time-consuming process. However, we want to raise awareness for delivery ways and thus minimize the return ways. In addition, we save a lot of paper by not attaching the return label to every single package, as it produces unnecessary waste if not used.
However, if you do need to return a product, our great Customer Happiness Team will make sure that the return process is straightforward and smooth for you.
In the long term, we are aiming for a multichannel solution through the expansion of our own retail stores in order to further minimize and simplify returns and delivery channels.
